the beginning of a journey

This is my first blog post. Er, article… or verbal vomit.  I’m not sure actually what this is or will become.  My best guess is that no one will ever read it, and it will float in the vastness of the internet until this server shuts down, or, more likely, it will be erased when I stop paying the monthly server fee.  In any event we going to write together and see what happens.  As JRR famously said (also probably his most overused quote) “All who wander are not lost”.

A little about me: I’m an older millennial- which I say not as apology, nor as an apologist, merely giving framework to the timeline I grew up in.

Now, as we wander, or wonder as it were I have laid a couple rules for myself.  Firstly, I will always write the truth.  And be as honest with myself as possible, even to the point of embarrassment ( 😱)

One of my favorite questions to ask “what is the most recent thing you have changed your mind about?”  It usually gives people pause, because after a certain age, we stop learning, and soon afterwards, we stop growing.

So my second rule to to allow myself to be open to new ways of thinking about everything, facts, cannon, even past memories.

Thirdly- as my best friend Adam always says before we start anything “Let’s have fun!!”

here we go…..

  1. Congratulations on taking this first step into the world of blogging! It’s completely normal to feel uncertain at the beginning, but remember, every journey starts with a single step. Your honesty and commitment to truthfulness are admirable traits that will surely resonate with readers. Embracing openness to new perspectives and maintaining a sense of fun along the way will make your writing journey all the more enriching. Keep pushing forward, and remember that every word you write has the potential to inspire, inform, or connect with someone out there. Happy writing!

  2. What a good question to ask! looking forward to see more from you!

And if I can answer that question… Love. I’m slowly opening myself to love–from myself, others, pets, strangers. I am worthy of it. 💕
