Perspective is often missed when dealing with the day to day craziness of life. It is hard to see, and even harder to appreciate once observed.

I heard once heard someone say that everyone’s life is like a movie, but we usually get stuck for to long in a single frame, without observing the whole “film”.

It’s easy to get stuck of course. Much harder to get out.

There is a flip side is of not spending to much time in any given “frame”. Not spending enough time appreciating where you are and who you are with.

The back and forth is what we call balance. Just like riding a bike, lean to far one way or the other and you will fall. As soon as you think you achieve balance, something shifts and you start to tilt.

As I raise my children, homework, sports, and chores needs to be balanced with relationship building, quality time and good memories.

Consistently course correction is required in life, while all maintaining perspective.
